about

Shakedown is the third studio album from The Everyday Sinners (formerly Jack Cade and the Everyday Sinners). As lead – sinner Jack Cade explains, ‘The main underlying theme of the album has been driven by the turbulent times we've found ourselves in, the use of divisive politics to set people against people to distract them from the real problems. It also looks at how we cope with life and the ups and downs it throws at us. I didn't want it to end up an album of protest songs, more a snapshot of life from the last ten or so years.’

Folk And Rumble said:
'From start to finish the album is a rallying cry for the oppressed and dispossessed. Like Woody Guthrie before him, Jack Cade pulls no punches in his social commentary of current events. Failing politicians, bigotry and racism are rejected and the listener is encouraged to keep fighting against oppression.'

about

Jack Cade and the Everyday Sinners UK

Jack Cade plays a mix of Americana and Alt-Country usually as a solo performer but at times with The Everyday Sinners. His vocals are a rough and ready deep growl, delivered with simply crafted songs about love, loss and the bits in between.
